Products: Barricades Used for channelizing traffic, marking hazards and closing streets and roads, Roadsafe provides a variety of barricade products to meet customer needs for either sale or rental. Type I Barricades Type I Barricades feature one panel of reflective sheeting, designed to easily accept the addition of a barricade light. The top panel size is 24" w x 12" h; 32" w x 12" h is also available. There are three variations of the Type I Barricade: complete plastic units, plastic panels with angle iron legs and wood panels with angle iron legs. Type II Barricades Type II Barricades feature two panels of reflective sheeting and are designed to easily accept the addition of a barricade light. The top panel size is either 24" w x 12" h or 24" w x 8" h and bottom panel 24" w x 8" h. There are three variations of the Type II Barricade: complete plastic units, plastic panels with angle iron legs and wood panels with angle iron legs. Type III Barricades Type III Barricades are available in 4', 8', 10' or 12' widths (depending on local agency specifications) and feature three orange and white striped panels. Type III Barricades are designed to easily accept the addition of barricade lights as well as the addition of signs.

Product: Channelizers Channelizing devices are used to warn road users of conditions created by work activities in or near the roadway and to guide road users. Channelizing devices include cones, tubular markers, vertical panels, drums and barricades. All RoadSafe channelizing devices are crashworthy. Drums The rugged, low-density plastic drum is equipped with a convenient built-in carrying handle that accommodates a light for nighttime use (if specified by local agency). This stackable plastic drum has been tested and certified to meet the crashworthy requirements of the NCHRP 350. Various drum bases are available as well as barricade lights. 
Vertical Panels Vertical Panels are used where space is limited to channelize traffic, divide opposing lanes or replace barricades. Panels are 8" to 12" in width and at least 24" in height. 
Cones For daytime and low-speed roadways, cones cannot be less than 18 inch in height. When cones are used on higher speed roadways or at night on any roadway, cones must be a minimum of 28 inch in height. For nighttime use, cones must be reflectorized. Various weights on larger cones and reflective collars are available. With a unique handle design for ease of use, cones are also available in 42 inch sizes for higher visibility (optional reflective collars) and ballasting using recycled tire bases in various weights.

LED lamps of the arrow board provide long lamp life, and the built-in battery charging system enables the arrow board to operate for the entire construction season from solar power, with no additional charging necessary. A voltage regulator permits LED lamps to maintain brightness regardless of battery charge. Replacement parts and expert repair service are available. 
Variable Message Signs Message signs are used most frequently on high-density urban freeways but have applications on all types of highways where delays are expected, advance notice of ramp or lane closures is needed, changes in conditions/surfaces exist or where speed of traffic is expected to drop substantially. We can also provide message centers for your special event. Cellular technology option allows us to program messages regardless of the message board location. Solar powered message signs eliminate noise and air pollution, fuel costs and engine maintenance. Available in either LED Flip Disk or LED Full Matrix, the message signs have 360 degree panel rotation with a photocell to control brightness of LEDs, eliminating manual adjustment. In addition, superior angularity of these boards is something you can expect from the RoadSafe fleet. Replacement parts and expert repair service are available. 
Dynamic Message Signs Dynamic message signs are full matrix signs using Brick technology, providing excellent contrast ratio, legibility and display characteristics. These signs display graphics, multiple fonts and varying type widths and are available in different sizes and shapes. We offer portable units, either trailer or vehicle mounted. Uses for these boards are endless, including street sweeping, pavement striping, traffic control, emergency management and special events. 
Radar Speed Displays Radar speed displays contain an LED lamp matrix to provide a crisp, clear number with solar panels to prevent noise and pollution throughout operation. An internal battery bank grants maximum life devoid of sunlight. Transportation of radar speed displays is a snap, and with industrial leveling jacks on each corner, level setup is a promise regardless of the terrain. Speed display sign trailers are also available. Portable Traffic Signals Portable traffic signals work effectively to reduce risk in work zones when a single lane is used for two-way traffic - including a bridge repair, special event, power outage or flagging operation. The two-trailer system is linked by radio communication, which can be operated up to a half mile away, to assure continuous and reliable service. Solar powered portable traffic signals are easy to maneuver requiring as little effort as pushing a button. The master unit utilizes a default paging system to notify users of any break in communication, whereas both units automatically revert to a pre-programmed mode in the encounter of a break. 
Light Towers With a fully extended mass height, the telescoping light tower delivers illumination of only the work site instead of the entire road.

Crash Cushions Address roadway hazards such as ends of rigid barriers, utility poles, bridge supports and other hazards with the right crash cushion model. Ask us about a revolutionary new model that more DOTs are approving throughout the country due to low maintenance costs and very little worker exposure for resetting the cushion if impacted. We carry fully re-directive crash cushions as well as non-redirective cushions. Narrow shoulders or bridges are excellent locations. Truck Mounted Protect your most valuable asset - your workers - with the truck mounted attenuator. The use of truck mounted attenuators mitigates the effects of errant vehicles by either decelerating the vehicle or by redirecting it. The truck mounted attenuator (TMA) is most frequently used in high-speed lane closures or mobile operations where workers are most vulnerable. The TMA is placed ahead of the first work crew, piece of equipment or roadside obstacle that the motorist encounters. Not only does the TMA shield workers, it also absorbs the impact of up to 62.5 mph of the errant vehicle and minimizes injury to the driver. The TMA is NCHRP 350 compliant. Ask your local branch about renting the entire TMA system (TMA and vehicle) or just the TMA mounted on your own vehicle. 
Sand Barrels Sand filled attenuator barrels act as vehicle crash cushions to protect motorists and their passengers from sudden impacts with bridge abutments, cantilever posts, gore areas and barrier wall ends. Sand barrels are designed with ease in mind. They are easy to move, ship, store, install, lift and empty. Different configurations of barrels are used to create all the weights used in current standard arrays. RoadSafe can provide the set up for your sand barrel requirements.

Safety Clothing and Vests ANSI Class II and Class III garments require 360-degree retro-reflectivity with specific criteria regarding width, placement and spacing of the reflective tape along with color brightness of the background material. In addition, Class III garments now require sleeves with reflective tape encircling the arm. We carry a variety of ANSI compliant safety vests and flagging uniforms to provide adequate daytime visibility and nighttime reflectivity of workers with the comfort for all day wear. Apparel is available in fluorescent green and orange, mesh and solid fabrics and a variety of reflective options. 
Remote Flagging Stations Portable flagging stations - Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (AFAD) are highly visible stand-alone units, controlled electronically from a transmitter carried by an operator located safely out of harm's way. The basic red/yellow lens AFAD with gate arm is available, allowing one operator to control both remote AFADs for work zones that have good line site distance of up to 800 feet. 
Stop/Slow Paddles, Flagging Stop/slow paddles satisfy local agency requirements. The lightweight, fully reflective octagonal sign measures 18 inch or 24 inch plus a telescoping handle. Standard vinyl warning flags used primarily in emergency situations are also available.

Raised Median Curb Raised median curb systems provide efficient and cost-effective channelization of traffic on freeways, tollways, city streets and rail-highway at-grade crossings. Systems consist of modular raised curb sections mountable by emergency vehicles and flexible post or panel uprights. Our curb systems incorporate the toughest channelizer posts and panels on the market and can be used wherever pavement markings are not sufficient to provide safe channelization. Applications for raised curb systems include freeway median separation, rail-highway "Quiet Zone" crossings, acceleration lanes, left-turn restrictions, thru lane protection in busy urban areas, bike and pedestrian lanes and many others. 
Water Barrier Wall Barrier wall systems help eliminate the high costs of transporting, installing and relocating barriers. Interconnected or spaced apart, water-filled or unfilled, the system provides for a number of applications that provide positive protection to a work zone or construction site or in cases of crowd control for special events. RoadSafe's barrier wall will also accommodate mounted chain link fence for added security at construction sites and yards. 
Pedestrian Fence Pedestrian fence provides for crowd control during a special event or ensures that pedestrians stay within the designated closures rather than stray into traffic. These interlocking steel fence sections measure 7 1/2 L x 3 1/2 H. This is a rental item only, please check with your local branch about availability. 
Delineators Roadway delineator posts or guide posts, provide bright delineation of roadway edge-lines and medians. Our flexible delineator post markers are durable enough for years of use in extreme cold or hot desert sun. Delineator posts are available in different sizes and several standard colors - white, yellow, and gray - with additional colors available for utility marking applications. We offer various grades of reflective sheeting, and each post can be made reflective on one or both sides. Informational decals are available by special order. Posts offer an optional plastic or steel anchor for excellent retention. Both manual and power tools are available for quick and easy installation. 
Reflective Markers Reflective markers provide bright delineation of concrete barriers and bridge parapets. We also supply guardrail markers for bright delineation of steel w/beam guardrails. Markers are durable enough for use in both work zone construction and permanent installations.
